when you live in the middle of nowhere like i do, Social Distancing is just an ordinary day, except the Toilet paper is harder to find than normal

Agreed. I used to think rural Kansas was the middle of nowhere until I flew over Northern Ontario and Quebec.
Land of 10,000,000,000,000,000 Lakes

I just looked on a map, and we are a good 500-600 km north of there,
We live far enough north that when I went to college in Montreal, I would tell people that we lived in igloos and traveled by dog sled.
I had to plow my yard Tuesday , and they are announcing another 6 inches tomorrow...

My dad once said to me, the thing about Canada is that it’s mostly intron.

If I want to see a concert or watch a NHL game it’s a 7 hour drive to montreal. 7-8 to toronto and 6-7 to ottawa.

Makes MN (my state) at 10,000+ seem slightly insignificant in comparison.

While I live in Socal, I definitely live in the middle of nowhere in relative terms so I can definitely relate. I am more likely to see a mountain lion than a person (other than people who live in the same house). So aside from still continuing to go to work and my roommates, my chances of exposure are pretty low. And aside from skiing being canceled and my girlfriend being stuck on the other side of the world, my day to day is completely unaffected. And my weekends will just be focused on hiking and biking in uncrowded areas, which is fine by me!

It would also make their license plates really long. We’d have to switch to scientific notation. But really, those northern stretches are so pockmarked with lakes, it looks like water on the moon. Really beautiful, but so vast.

many, just ontario bars close a 1am, and quebec bars close at 3 am. Since My home town is about an hour away from the quebec/ontario boarder, many came to quebec to come drink longer.....

The entertaining thing is that I think I’m still slightly further north, but the population here (Southern Alberta) is definitely a lot higher.
I lived a while in Northern Ontario. Elliot Lake, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury
. It’s nice up there. At least in the summer, or if you like snow. As long as you aren’t down-wind from the smoke stack in Sudbury.

I’m about 2 hours away from Timmins Ontario. and about 45 minutes away from Kirkland Lake.
We have are own Smokestacks here in Rouyn-Noranda to worry about
there is a second smoke stack somewhere in all that white smoke.

Well the real Letterkenny is actually Sudbury, so you’re only what , 450km away. If you weren’t French you’d def be an upcountry degen haha
